The cables are cut to the correct length using a precision cut and strip machine. The machine allows for accurate and repeatable cuts. Once the cable has been cut to the correct length, terminals are added to the ends. Pacer Group uses a hydraulic-pneumatic crimper that creates a superior gas tight crimp. After the terminals are crimped, heat shrink is applied to the assembly. The epoxy lined heat shrink is used to create a moisture and air tight connection.

    Terminals are a necessary element in any electrical systems. These heat shrink butt splices provide a durable, rugged, environmentally sealed connection. They are designed for use with 12-10 AWG wires.

    How do you use heat shrink butt splices? Well, you start by prepping your wires. This includes cutting and stripping the wires to the correct length. Each butt splice has an indentation inside of it in the center where your wires should meet. So now, you insert the wire into the butt splice until the tip touches the indentation. Using the proper tool, you will crimp the side of the butt splice creating a solid connection. Repeat this process on the other side. Now, perform a tug test to make sure that the wires do not pull out. Once you are satisfied, use the proper heat gun or torch to correctly heat the outer heat shrink. If you see bubbles or discoloration in the wire insulation or the heat shrink you are using too much heat. That or your tool is too close.

The cable is cut to the desired length using a precision cut and strip machine. This machine is designed to allow for repeatable and accurate cuts. After the cable is cut to the correct length, terminals are added to the ends. Pacer Group utilizes a hydraulic-pneumatic crimper that creates an unbeatable gas tight crimp. When the terminals are properly crimped, the final step is adding heat shrink. The epoxy lined heat shrink creates a moisture and airtight connection.

    Terminals are a necessary element in any electrical systems. These heat shrink butt splices provide a durable, rugged, environmentally sealed connection. They are designed for use with wires between 18 AWG - 14 AWG.

    How do you use heat shrink butt splices? Well, you start by prepping your wires. This includes cutting and stripping the wires to the correct length. Each butt splice has an indentation inside of it in the center where your wires should meet. So now, you insert the wire into the butt splice until the tip touches the indentation. Using the proper tool, you will crimp the side of the butt splice creating a solid connection. Repeat this process on the other side. Now, perform a tug test to make sure that the wires do not pull out. Once you are satisfied, use the proper heat gun or torch to correctly heat the outer heat shrink. If you see bubbles or discoloration in the wire insulation or the heat shrink you are using too much heat. That or your tool is too close.
