Enhanced corrosion resistance has become an ever more important requirement in many different industries – with stainless steel gaining in importance because the material not only safeguards hygiene standards, but also ensures a long service life, low or no maintenance and therefore makes for safe investments. Invisible and highly mobile, GN 7237 Stainless Steel Multiple-joint Hinges from JW Winco are installed on the inside of hatches, hoods, trunks, and doors to save space and to protect against vandalism. The hinges have a maximum opening angle of 180° which provides optimal accessibility for Off-Road vehicle storage compartment doors or lift gates.​

Use of this hinge leaves housing exteriors free of attachments that do not match the design and allows for fast and easy cleaning. The multiple-joint hinge assembly is stainless steel, has two angle brackets that are used to mount the hinge to a housing or a door and has an intervening 7-speed, clearance-free, self-lubricated joint mechanism.

The GN 7237 multiple-joint hinge can be entirely hidden and vandalism proof because there will be no access from outside. The hinge allows a 180° opening angle and is flexible with adjustment in three dimensions. GN 7237 is made from stainless steel (AISI 304) to prevent corrosion and is self-lubricating and maintenance free. 

Application options for multiple-joint hinges are unlimited: Flaps, hatches, doors, hoods, cabinets, trunks, lowering and folding systems in the industries of shipbuilding, construction machines, agricultural equipment, vehicles, industrial furniture, medical, mechanical engineering, packaging equipment, etc.

Elongated holes in the hinge mounting brackets and spacer plates make the hinge adjustable on three levels. Like the GN 2370 spacer plates, GN 2376 and GN 2372 threaded plates, are also available as mounting accessories.

GN 615.5 stainless steel ball plungers are used for locking as well as for pressure and hold-off functions.

Due to the selection of materials, the stainless steel ball plungers are suitable for use in highly corrosive environments. In addition, the ceramic ball is low wearing, anti-magnetic and electrically insulating.

GN 632.5 grub screws are typically used with GN 631.5 thrust pads, making a low cost solution for clamping operations or for load bearing purposes.

A good feature of these components is a smaller size ball diameter than the trunk of the threaded stud. As a result, the studs can be screwed into position from the ball side. The thrust pad can easily be hammered onto the ball end of the screw, and also easily dismantled.

The key ring is inserted permanently in a suitable recess without removability. These customer specific modifications can simply be ordered in addition to the required component.

GN 822.1 indexing plungers feature small, compact dimensions. They are designed for installation in thin walled sheet metal applications.

Plungers are inserted into position by holding them by the knurled knob. The wrench flats on the lock nut are exposed when the pin is retracted, so that the plunger can be easily tightened by means of an open end wrench.

Type B is non lock-out type.
Type C offers a lock-out position for applications that require the plunger pin to be retracted for an extended period of time.

Hand knobs are made of a thermoplastic nylon material (Polyamide PA) with a matte black finish. They have tapped inserts made of stainless steel, European Standard No. 1.4305 (American Standard Series 303). Lanyard ring option is GN 111.6, stainless steel, European Standard No. 1.4310 (American Standard Series 301). Retaining cable option is GN 111.2, stainless steel, European Standard No. 1.4310 (American Standard Series 301), coated with clear plastic. Ball chain option is GN 111.5, stainless steel, European Standard No. 1.4310 (American Standard Series 301).

The RoHS compliant levers are appropriate for applications in the boat building processing. All levers have proven to be ideal wherever parts have to be clamped in a confined space or in a particular lever position. The insert is connected to the lever via ser rations which can easily be disengaged.

GN 310 gear lever handles are highly universal options for movement and operation. Used for actuating the material flow through hydraulic valves via the lever handle or, used as control levers for on / off, start / stop applications where the lever handle is attached to set collars, split hubs, or eccentric cams, are example uses of these standard parts.

The choice of knobs can be made dependent on their function and/or their modern design.

GN 452 vibration / shock absorption mounts, also known as vibration isolation mounts, anti-vibration mounts, vibration bobbins or rubber bumpers, are used as end-stop bumpers, e.g. for conveyors, doors, hatches

They absorb most of the accumulated kinetic energy on impact. They act as dampers and prevent damaging shock and rebound. They also act as sound dampers. These mounts are also used as leveling feet.
